Online shopping is becoming more common. In Indian market two shopping platforms are available. One is made in India, Flipkart , another one is international level Amazon. This blog is related to finance.

 

Many people will have difficulties in online shopping. There are few steps where one can follow for online shopping.

Advantages of online shopping:

1.Different brands and models can be compared.

2.Can do shopping 24×7.

3.Products can be delivered to remote areas where there is non availability of that product.

4.Many electronic gadgets and devices are available only online.

5.Get detailed information about the product.

6.Most products are available at lowest rates.

7.Real user reviews available.

8.We can send gifts to our friends and relatives even though they are staying apart.

9.Banks/Credit card/Debit card offers available.

Disadvantages of online shopping:

1.Spending too much time online for single product selection.

2.Shipping problem and delays.

3.Risk of fraud(Flipkart and amazon no frauds)

4.Negative environmental effects of packing.

5.Buying extra products which you don’t need.

Following are practical guides for successful online shopping.

1.Ratings on any product should be more than 4 stars.

2.Number of ratings is more important. Eg: If a product is 5 star but total number of ratings is 3 and another product of the same category is of 4.3 stars but total number of ratings is 2000 then the second product is genuine. Many sellers book their own products and review for 5 stars ratings.

3.Real photos of customers uploaded are more important than the sellers photos. Seller’s photos are taken by the professional photographer so we can’t believe that photos uploaded by the seller.

4.Two types of people who write reviews, one who is extremely happy and one who is extremely not happy. Those who are just satisfied with the product never write a review. If the good reviews are more, then the product is good. Some negative reviews expected there are some people on this earth who are never happy with anyone.

5.Buy product which has a 10/15 days replacement policy.

6.When the product is delivered do unboxing and check that everything is fine, even though you want to use after.

7.In case you get a damaged product just apply for replacement/return as per your wish. This process is very easy and you don’t need to call customer care.

8.Prefer to pay online/prepaid payment because in case of return the refunds are very easy. In case of prepaid payment the product can be delivered to your apartment watchman or some friend can take it at the time of delivery.

9.While booking any product check the price in flipkart and amazon whoever gives the lowest price book from that platform.

10.Avoid paying shipping charges. In flipkart and amazon if you bill more than 499/599 there won’t be shipping charges (Not applicable to all).

11.In Flipkart there is Flipkart assured and in Amazon it’s Amazon fulfilled. These both tags show they have done quality checks of that product.

12.Retailnet is the flipkart own seller, any products from this seller will be more genuine.

13.Cloudtail India is Amazon’s biggest seller, any products from this seller are more genuine.
