7 Reasons why you should not carry a phone to the washroom.
7 Reasons why you should not carry a phone to the washroom.
Nowadays carrying a phone to the washroom has become a new trend. Is this new trend good or bad? Just have a look.
1.Phone is potential source of infection:
When you touch your private parts then with the same hand you touch the phone and forget to do handwashing. When you keep a phone on a flush tank it is a potential source of infection. This leads to bacteria colonizing your smartphone, whenever they get an opportunity they cause infections.
2.Hemorrhoids and other toilet-related ailments:
When you strain your rectum more than the time expected it leads to hemorrhoids and other toilet related ailments. Humans are supposed to complete his /her toilet activity within 10 mins.People who are using phones are supposed to sit in the restroom for more than 15-20 mins.
3.Mind needs a break:
The bathroom used to be a place free of distraction and technology, It’s not like that anymore. And it’s certainly not great for our mental clarity. So keep your phone out of the washroom.
4.Wasting more time than normal.
It has been shown that using your phone on the toilet can screw up your body’s response to toilet time. You see, you really shouldn’t be sitting on the toilet for more than 10-minutes or so. Those 30-minute mobile uses aren’t doing you any favors. Sitting on a toilet for longer than 10-minutes can screw with the body’s pooping process. Your body gets confused on what it’s supposed to be doing, which can cause actual medical problems down the road.
5.Chances of dropping phone in the washroom:
Those who carry phones to the washroom are more likely to drop the phone in the washroom.
6.Phone use in washroom make you addict:
One of the 3 main symptoms of phone addiction is the fear of leaving your home without your phone. The other 2 are a fear that you can’t send or receive texts and a false feeling that you are receiving alerts. While many scientists still will not use the word “addiction” comfortably, there are indications that this is indeed what is happening. Most addictions are connected to the transmission of dopamine. Phones provide that same feel-good experience, with users being happy every time they interact with someone. The negative outcomes of excessive phone use include low self-esteem, anxiety, and even depression.
7.You treat toilet time as a way to escape:
Many used their phones in order to suppress negative feelings and emotions. Also, the same study showed that students were using their phones to fight their boredom. As a result, the continuous use of phones as a coping strategy could be having a severe impact on our mental health.
